# What are the Bitcoin Mining Rewards?

The rewards from mining a block are divided into two parts. The first part is the coinbase reward, which is predefined in the Bitcoin protocol. Initially, this reward was 50 BTC, halving approximately every four years. The second part is the miner fee, which varies based on the number of transactions and network congestion.
